Annie Barr MBEMA BSc Hons RGN Specialist Practitioner PGcert, INP Goldman Sachs Graduate Oxford University (2017) in China. Annie’s background is as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care.  Annie works very closely with government agencies in the UK such as Healthcare UK, Department of International Trade (DIT), is a founder member of UK International Healthcare Management Association (UKHIMA) and is a board member of Eldex Asia based in Singapore. Annie was also a board member of the RCGP North East Faculty for 6 years. Annie is also a graduate of Goldman Sachs and Oxford University small business programme.

She is an international expert, speaker and strategist and thought leader behind many innovative projects for improving patient care via training, technology, digital health and workforce development.  After a 26 year career in the National Health Service (NHS) Annie established education and training programmes for clients nationally and internationally.  AB Health Group was established to provide professional development training for healthcare staff. Annie has a passion to transform patient care through training.

Annie has written and published the national competencies for Advanced Clinical Practice Nursing for the RCGP (2016).

Annie accompanied various ministers including George Osborne to China in 2015, and in Dec 2016 with Rt Honorable Jeremy Hunt Secretary of State for Health.  She was also involved in the President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the UK in 2016 and accompany the foreign office on visits to China to advance healthcare. Annie also accompanied Rt Hon Alok Sharma (Foreign Minister UK) to China in 2017.
